About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few friends kept arguing about which mobile games were worth reinstalling. At some point we figured the notes were good enough to share, so we cleaned them up and put them online. Nothing fancy — just people who like phones full of games.

We don't chase every new release. Instead we pick titles across genres, sink a few hours into each, and write down what the experience is really like once the tutorial ends. A shiny trailer means nothing if the controls fall apart on level ten.

Every review here comes from actual playtime on real devices, mostly mid-range Android phones and an older iPhone, because that's what most people carry. If a game only shines on flagship hardware, we'll say so.

We're independent. No studio pays us to be nice, and we'd rather lose a fun game than pretend a boring one is great.

Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been reviewing games since the flip-phone Java days and now runs Pocket Verdict from his desk full of charging cables. He still finishes every game he starts, which is either dedication or a problem.
